POST PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR and EDITOR

We are a small boutique-style adventure film production house based in Whistler, BC and are looking for someone to join our team who is as passionate about filmmaking as we are. While the primary role of this job is to help keep things flowing in the studio, growth potential is good for the right candidate. 

Responsibilities:

  • Managing media and workflow of various projects

  • Technical problem solving

  • Video Editing: footage logging, assembling rough cuts, music selection, assembling fine cuts, project mastering and output

  • Colour correcting

  • Sound mixing

  • creating motion graphics

Requirements:

  • High School education

  • Knowledge of the entire Adobe Creative Suite - especially proficient in Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects

  • Experience managing workflow of multi media projects

  • Experience in creating professional edits from start to finish in a variety of visual and narrative formats

Preferred Skills:

  • formal film school education

  • Outdoor and adventure sport background

  • Strong skier or snowboarder

  • Work experience at a professional production studio and/or work experince on award-winning films

Personal Traits:

  • Excellent organizational skiils

  • Passionate and self-motivated

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to follow through on projects until they are done right

  • Ability to take constructive criticism and work with a team

  • A desire to make film production a long-term career

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

 

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, professional, and comes to work each day excited to take on the next challenge. Experience is a plus, but attitude and passion are most important. Applicants should be a resident of Canada, or have a valid work permit for at least 1 year, and live in the Sea to Sky corridor.
